There's a reason San Francisco is such a well-known iconic city from coast to coast. Full of buzzing creatives, successful entrepreneurs, and thriving corporate headquarters, it's at the epicenter of the American Dream on the West Coast. The best of the best live and work here, and it's an incredible place to tie the knot - whether you're a zipcode or a country away.
If you're going to get married here, there are a few venues you should consider first - because they are our favorites!
If You Left Your Heart in San Francisco:
"If you are looking for an experience that screams San Francisco, I would go with San Francisco City Hall. The Building is simply exceptional and offers so much versatility when it comes having your wedding there. It's an easy commute from many hotels and impressive landmarks in the city and the main staircase is just magical." - Matthieu
It's a versatile venue that can be rented out in it's entirety for a big guest list, or a time can be blocked off for a smaller, more private ceremony in one of the wings during the day. The architecture is second to none, lighting and decor can transform it to fit any theme you can imagine, and the lighting is sublime for filming and photography. In the heart of the city, it's close to everything, and is such an impressive space that you and your guests will swoon when you walk into the event. There's nothing like it, and you won't be dissapointed.
If You're Craving Luxury: Westin St. Francis
"Another favorite venue of mine in San Francisco is the Westin ST. Francis. The building is exquisite and the Alexandria's room and Victor's Palace on the 32nd floor must be one of the best, if not the best view of San Francisco. This is also a great venue for a one-location wedding since you and your guests can stay at the hotel." -Matthieu
So luxurious. In the middle of Union Square. Everything you could want for an upscale San Francisco wedding. The Westin St. Francis has been hosting weddings for over 100 years, and it's wide range of venues still offer everything for the modern bride.

If You Want the Best of All Worlds:
"If I had to choose my favorite it would be the Julia Morgan ballroom; the couple can have both their ceremony and reception in the same beautiful building. It is also conveniently located right next to many hotels which makes it easy for booking guests or a bridal suite. Being right in San Francisco's downtown it's a brisk walk to beautiful Union Square in one direction, picturesque North Beach in another, and the buzzing Embarcadero." - Matthieu
A true piece of San Francisco's architectural history, the Julia Morgan Ballroom was designed by the same architect of Hearst Castle fame, whose innovative and impressive buildings can be spotted all over the Bay Area and hidden around the state. It's a gorgeous backdrop for an unforgettable wedding day, and the staff there are true professionals. Even if it's a "maybe" on your venue list, it's definitely worth seeing in person!
